Kris is Senior Pastor at Eastpoint Community Church, a part-time travel agent, and the Chaplain for the Jeffersontown Fire Department. He has been married to Angie for 20 years and has a 16-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. He graduated from WKU in 2002 and holds a Masters of Divinity from Southern Seminary and a DMin from Beeson Divinity School. Kris has been a part of the Crossings family for many years. As a former staffer, Kris is thrilled to still be involved with Crossings 20 years later.

Kory Cunningham loves making much of Jesus through preaching the Bible. Though growing up a pastor’s kid, Kory didn’t come to faith until college. Kory’s late conversion fuels his passion for seeing “church kids” see the true gospel and experience Jesus as the greatest TREASURE (Matthew 13:44). Kory was a youth pastor for more than a decade and has preached at Hardin Baptist Church for the last eight years. Kory loves his wife Katie and his four children, Crider, Finley, Garnett, and Evie Katie. He loves coffee, camping, national parks, wakeboarding, and coaching his son’s basketball team. Kory holds a bachelor’s degree from Murray State, a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Seminary. In addition, Kory trains college students in expository preaching through the Hardin Institute and hosts The Love You Bible Podcast.

York is the Senior Pastor of the Buck Run Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky and the Victor and Louise Lester Professor of Christian Preaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. Dr. York is co-author with Bert Decker of Speaking with Bold Assurance, a book that guides Christians in effective communication, and Preaching with Bold Assurance. Preaching Today has included him among North America’s most effective preachers. His articles have appeared in many journals and magazines, and he is a popular conference speaker in the US, Europe, Asia, and South America.

Daniel DeWitt (PhD, Southern Seminary) is a senior fellow at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO, where he leads the Center for Worldview and Culture. He is the author of several books, the host of the Mere Caffeination podcast, and regularly posts at Theolatte.com. He and his wife April have been married for our twenty years and have four children: Isaiah, Micah, Josiah, and Addilynn Joy. 

John Pendleton is the College and Discipleship Pastor for First Baptist Church Jacksonville, in Alabama. Before that, he was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky where he served as a Youth leader and Gospel Community Group leader. John grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and was blessed with Christian parents who faithfully led his family to attend church. His first memory of hearing the Gospel was at five years old during a lesson on The Rich Man and Lazarus from Luke 16. It impressed on him an understanding of sin, its punishment, and the reason for the cross. At twelve years old he made his first public profession of faith and repentance and was baptized shortly after. During high school, John was involved in Christian music which sparked an interest in theology, evangelism, and church ministry. Early in college he felt called to preaching and pastoral ministry, and this calling was affirmed through mentors and local church teaching. After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from the University of South Alabama, John obtained his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018. John is married to his wife, Baylee, and enjoys reading, music, weightlifting, and spending time with his family in Alabama.
